Why use ICTs in the classroom?

Reason 1: ICTs will allow for effective and efficient engagement by all students.

Due to nature of the students, many lack motivation and concentration towards their learning. By enforcing ICTs in the classroom, students will be given opportunities that will encourage their motivation, concentration and engagement.  Students who are presented with an ICT-rich learning environments are more thoroughly engaged and motivated towards their education and curriculum goals (MCEETYA, 2005). ICTs are claimed to have the potential to not only enhance students learning but to also transform (MCEETYA, 2005).
